Erin Ryan

Professor, Florida State University, College of Law

Professor Erin Ryan teaches federalism, negotiation, and environmental, property, and water law at the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, where she was an editor of the Harvard Law Review and a Hewlett Fellow at the Harvard Negotiation Research Project. She clerked for Judge James R. Browning on the Ninth Circuit before beginning her academic career at the College of William & Mary, where she taught for seven years before spending 2011-12 in China as a Fulbright Scholar. The author of many scholarly works, including Federalism and the Tug of War Within (Oxford, 2012), she has presented widely in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
