Ernie D’Leon was an infantryman reconnaissance scout in Vietnam in the year 1968. He was wounded in April of 68′ and awarded the Purple Heart. When he returned from Vietnam he pursued a degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University and became a Vice President of a software company. After his retirement he began volunteering at the VA hospital in La Jolla, CA. He has volunteered with different veteran’s organizations for the past 8 years as a board member, group facilitator and office manager. He currently is a group facilitator at the VA, for veterans with PTSD and a mentor in San Diego County Veterans Court.
