Freddie Lipmann is a freelance writer living in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. She received a BA in Linguistics from the University of Chicago in March 2010, and has since worked with the McNeill Gesture Lab, where she studies gesture and intonation as part of an ongoing cross-cultural comparative study of rapport in interaction.
