Fritz Godard

The Donnybrook Writing Academy

Chris Gilmore (Fritz Godard) is Donnybrook Writing Academy's resident poet laureate of film. He was born during a revival screening of North by Northwest with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, but even his mother admits that, at best, the survival of her child was the second most suspenseful thing of the evening. This beginning gave Mr. Godard the ability to think at 24 frames a second. He is a filmmaker who has withdrawn his films from such festivals as Cannes, Venice, and Toronto. Mr. Godard's keen eye can cut through visual metaphors, light through celluloid. He was once told by Orsen Wells' ghost, β€˜You're one of the good ones.’
