I am an entrepreneur and all around data geek living in New York City. At different points in my professional life I have used data to model natural disasters, mortgage prepayments, human life expectancy, and neighborhood quality of life. On my website Metrocosm, I focus on the graphical and storytelling side of data and use it to offer new perspectives on familiar topics. My latest project, FOIA Mapper, aims to promote government transparency by making the Freedom of Information Act more accessible. I am also an aspiring vegetarian, a feminist, an information privacy paranoid, and a lucky husband.
