Gita Kashani

Board member, National Iranian American Council

Gita Kashani is a CPA with two decades of experience in business and public affairs. She is a business owner and a philanthropist with extensive involvement in the Iranian-American community in Northern California. She has served as the president of the Society of Iranian Professionals, a 26-year -old organization, helping expand its membership and attract many scholars and high profile individuals to participate in its expansion and growth . She is one of the founders of the Iranian Studies Program at Stanford and The Iranian American Political Action Committee.

Kashani has played a leadership role in the Iranian Scholarship Foundation, The Persian Center, Children of Iran, and the Child Foundation. She has hosted many high profile figures such as Christiane Amanpour, Anna Eshoo, and held a very successful fund raising event at her home for then-Senator Hillary Clinton. She is no stranger to public work and opened one of the first Persian speaking radio stations covering the entire Bay area in 2004.
Kashani is passionate about her community and enjoys collaborating and unifying efforts amongst different organizations inside and outside the community to build a more conscious, productive, and strong Iranian-American society leading the way to the future. Today, she serves on the the Board of National Iranian American Council, the largest Iranian-American grassroots organization in the U.S.
