Partnered 34 years with Michael De Leon, legally married in 2004 in Ontario Canada. Two children, Isaiah (age 18) and Isabella (age 17). Openly gay and active member of Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Louisville, Kentucky for 29 years. Named plaintiffs in the Kentucky Marriage Equality lawsuit (Bourke vs. Beshear) that was merged with Obergefell vs. Hodges and resulted in nationwide Marriage Equality in June 2015. 23-year career in Data Analytics with Humana Military Healthcare. Founding member of Humana PRIDE LGBT Network Resource Group which has led Humana to perfect 100 score the last three years on the Human Right Campaign Corporate Equality Index. 2013 appointment to the Out 100 for advocacy work to reform LGBT discriminatory membership policy for youth and adults in the Boy Scouts of America. 2014 recipient of University of Louisville LGBT Alumnus of the Year. Founding member or UofL LGBT Alumni Council, currently serving as Treasurer. 2015 recipient (with husband, Michel De Leon) of University of Kentucky LGBT Alumnus of the Year. Founding member of PrideCats, the UK LGBTQ alumni network, presently serving on Operating Board. Recipient of 2016 Presidential Commendation from Eli Capilouto, President of the University of Kentucky. Named 2015 Persons of the Year (with husband, Michel De Leon) by the National Catholic Reporter.
