<i>EXTRA</i> correspondent, fitness and wellness expert

Fitness and wellness expert Hilaria Thomas Baldwin is the co-founder of Yoga Vida, a yoga studio with locations in Union Square and Noho that offer yoga classes, workshops, retreats, and Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Training Programs. Hilaria is the Lifestyle correspondent for EXTRA, where she covers fitness, fashion, celebrities, and news. Recent interviews include Governor Chris Christie, Jane Fonda, Emma Stone and Tony Bennett.

Hilaria has been teaching fitness and dance for more than ten years, and she began teaching yoga in 2005. She attended Somatic Experiencing® training in 2005, a program designed to naturally heal and resolve trauma. Hilaria incorporates her dance and fitness background, as well as her Somatic Experiencing® training, into her yoga classes.

In the summer of 2012, she launched SoulYoga, a class offered exclusively at SoulCycle’s East Hampton location designed to stretch and strengthen the muscles used when indoor cycling.

Hilaria has also been featured as a fitness authority on E!, Good Afternoon America, and Plum TV’s “Yoga with a View,” which can be seen on Hulu.com. She has also been featured in The Daily’s four part yoga series, and on the cover of The Daily Dan. Soon, she can be seen in Fitness Magazine and Self Magazine.

Hilaria spent her childhood living in the United States and in Spain. She studied ballet, flamenco and gymnastics as a child, and at age 13, she began international Latin ballroom dancing. She has competed and performed professionally in the US, Europe and Asia. She is a graduate of New York University, where she majored in art history and dance.
