Hopewell Rogers

Hopewell Rogers is a 17-year old high school senior in New York City.

She is the recipient of numerous national poetry awards, edits her school's literary magazine, and co-chairs the tutoring program at her school. This year, she worked in the astrophysics department of the American Museum of Natural History and co-wrote two scientific papers on thermonuclear supernovae. When she's not waitressing and busing tables at a neighborhood restaurant, she designs and sews clothing, writes music on her guitar, bakes killer red velvet cake, or reads in Central Park. Someday, she would like to grow an orange tree, take a road trip across America in an old car, and be photographed on Google StreetView doing something silly.
