Ishani Desai

Ishani Desai has a Master in Public Administration/International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard Kennedy School. She has spent the past year examining female labor force participation in Afghanistan and is working with the World Bank to analyze risks Afghan women face. At her time at Harvard, she worked with the Albania Growth Project at the Center for International Development on regional integration initiatives in the Balkans. Previously, she was a Senior Research Associate for the Centre for Microfinance/J-PAL on randomized controlled trials in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, India. She also worked with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the U.S. Department of State in Washington DC, and the U.S. Mission to NATO in Brussels. She graduated summa cum laude from American University in Washington DC with a B.S. in Economics and B.A. in International Studies.
