Ghanaian-born Ishmael Osekre is band leader of Afro-Indie outfit, Osekre and the Lucky Bastards. His sound has recently drawn comparisons with Fela Kuti, Gogol Bordello and The Clash. He is curator of the Afropolitan Insights platform, producer of the Ankara Bazaar, Jollof Festival, African Food Festival, and the SelfCare Festival. Osekre is also a Tech enthusiast, and a recent fellow of the Harvard Innovation Lab.
