Janie Heath

Driven by a mission of academic and nursing practice excellence, Janie Heath PhD, APRN-BC, FAAN has four-decades of outstanding contributions to advance nursing leadership and public health through sustained work with tobacco control (research, education, advocacy, practice) in acute and critical care nursing practice.

As dean of the University of Kentucky College of Nursing she is a noted pioneer leader and mentor for two acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP) programs (University of South Carolina and Georgetown University), two clinical nurse leader (CNL) programs (Medical College of Georgia and University of Virginia) and as an elected board of director (2003-2005) for the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, she has created initiatives that impacted over 90,000 AACN members and affiliates world-wide.
