Jared Kleinert

Jared Kleinert is an extremely passionate, driven, and resourceful entrepreneur who has been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, TechCrunch, Huffington Post, and TEDxYouth Miami.

He is currently the co-author and co-founder of an eye-opening book, community, and larger organization called “2 Billion Under 20: How Millennials are Redefining Success, Breaking Down Barriers, and Changing the World” (forthcoming from St. Martin's Press, 2015). The book features stories from some of the world’s smartest and most talented people at or under 20 years old. Including Olympians, teenpreneurs, scientists, singers, actors, social entrepreneurs, etc from all walks of life and over 20+ countries, the book aims to empower the 2 billion people in the world at or under 20 to act on their passions.

At 15, Jared founded NowIGetIt.com, an edtech company that gave students access to tutors around the world via webchat. At 16, he founded Synergist, a crowdsourcing site for social entrepreneurs to meet, collaborate, and share ideas for social movements and enteprises.

Jared has also worked for two tech start-ups in San Francisco. He was part of the early marketing and content creation team at Learnist (originally Grockit), a Pinterest-like platform for learning anything. It raised $20 million right after he left and now has close to 10 million users. He was also recently a Sales Development Rep at 15Five, an employee engagement and culture management company that helps CEOs keep a pulse on their companies.

Jared attends and speak at various events around the country focused on young entrepreneurship, social good, and lean startup methodology. He advises a couple youth-focused projects/programs, has spoken with brands like Samsung and Office Depot in order to help them better capture the Millennial marketplace, was one of the youngest mentors ever at a Startup Weekend event, and was a US Delegate to the 2013 Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Malaysia.
