Jasmeet Sidhu

Filmmaker and writer

Jasmeet Sidhu (@JasmeetSidhu) is a New York City based producer, writer and filmmaker. Her background and accomplishments have spanned the gamut of music, television, journalism, international diplomacy and social entrepreneurship, including presenting at the White House and United Nations, and working with a variety of artists and companies including Jay Z, Taylor Swift, Facebook, Apple, Google and more. Believing strongly in giving back, she also teaches, writes and speaks extensively on leadership, youth engagement, and entrepreneurship.

Originally from Mississauga, Ontario, at 16, she co-founded an award-winning environmental organization, the Peel Environmental Youth Alliance (www.peyalliance.ca), which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2015. She is a graduate of Columbia University, where she received her Master of Science degree, and the University of Toronto.

She completed her Masters degree from Columbia University in New York City and studied Peace and Conflict studies at the University of Toronto. At the age of 21, Jasmeet was named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women. Born in Malaysia and raised in Canada, she currently splits her time between Toronto, New York City, and Los Angeles.
