Chief Executive Officer, Kaplan Higher Education (KHE)

Jeff Conlon is Chief Executive Officer of Kaplan Higher Education (KHE), the higher education division of Kaplan, Inc. that provides career-oriented degree and certificate programs to more than 100,000 students throughout the United States. In this role, he oversees all facets of academic and institutional operations, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Kaplan, Inc.

Conlon has held many roles within the Kaplan family prior to becoming CEO of KHE. Previously, he was President of Kaplan Higher Education campuses. He also served as Senior Vice President of Kaplan University, where he managed fast-growing student enrollment, and led the restructuring of the Academic team and the introduction of a new academic technology platform.

Before joining KHE in January of 2005, Conlon was the Chief Executive Officer of Kaplan’s SCORE! Educational Centers (today Kaplan Tutoring), a leading provider of after-school learning programs for students in grades pre-K through 10. He was responsible for the performance of 170 after-school education centers nationwide and the execution of a strong growth plan for new and existing markets.

Conlon started with Kaplan as an Area Director for Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions in 1993. He quickly moved on to become a Regional Director, managing 15 KTPA retail centers – effectively reorganizing their infrastructure and dramatically increasing enrollments.

Conlon began his career as a consultant at Mercer Management Consulting. He holds a B.A. from Brown University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
