Evolutionary Psychiatrist and Author, 'Angst: Origins of Anxiety and Depression'

Jeffrey P. Kahn, M.D., is the author of Angst: Origins of Anxiety and Depression (Oxford University Press, 2013). He draws inspiration from his academic work on anxiety disorders, psychotherapy, careful diagnosis and organizational and occupational psychiatry, but most especially from his own clinical practice and workplace consultations. He edited two editions of the text Mental Health and Productivity in the Workplace, and has written scores of research papers, chapters and articles. A graduate of Swarthmore College, he completed medical school, psychiatric residency and clinical research fellowship training at Columbia University. He is now Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, in Manhattan and Westchester County. “Angst” has its very own public Facebook page.
