Jen Johnson

Jen Johnson has coached debate for more than 15 years. She is a doctoral student of English Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she holds a graduate fellowship with the Institute for Urban and Minority Education. She directed two non-profits supporting Urban Debate Leagues (UDLs) in seven school districts, experiences that shaped her into a life-long independent learner and researcher. She is a Hip-Hop Education Center Fellow, which grew out of her Masters work in media, culture, and communication at New York University. She is also an adjunct professor at Manhattanville College.
