Jerry Saltz is Senior Art Critic for New York Magazine. The author of two collections of his criticism, Seeing Out Loud and Seeing Out Louder, he is a two-time Finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Criticism; winner of the 2007 Frank Jewitt Mather Award in Art Criticism; was named Best Critic by Time Out New York; has lectured at Harvard University, The Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and many others. In 2009 he was ranked # 57 “Most Powerful Person in the Art World” by ArtReview Magazine -– one ahead of Jasper Johns.
