Jim Utterback

President, Seminole State College

Dr. Jim Utterback is in his 17th year serving as the fourth president of Seminole State College. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1978 and a Master of Science in Applied Psychology in 1979 from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. President Utterback earned his Doctor of Philosophy in College Student Personnel Administration in 1992 from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo. Having published numerous articles, Dr. Utterback is a nationally recognized speaker in areas related to student development, economic development, and diversity in higher education. Dr. Utterback served on the American Association of Community Colleges Board of Directors as well as on AACC Commissions on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and on Global Education. In addition, he currently serves as chair of the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority, the only statewide television network in Oklahoma.
