Sierra Club 2012 Outdoor Youth Ambassador

Wilderness enthusiast and Eastern Mennonite University (Harrisonburg, VA) student Joaquin Sosa is the Sierra Club’s 2012 Outdoor Youth Ambassador for the Best Internship on Earth.

The Best Internship on Earth is an annual summer program uniting young adults with a passion for the environment with community outreach programs that focus on outdoor experiences. The Outdoor Youth Ambassador will travel around the country with Sierra Club’s Mission Outdoors programs, including Inner City Outings, Military Families and Veterans Initiative, Local Outings and Volunteer Vacations, and document these experiences with video, photos and blogs.

A digital media & photography student, Joaquin’s enthusiasm for the outdoors and creative approach to storytelling will shine as he chronicles his adventure exploring our country’s wild places, promoting an appreciation of nature through outdoor education and adventure.
