Joel Silberman

Joel Silberman is the media strategy/media training partner at Democracy Partners, a political consulting firm whose mission is building the progressive movement, where his clients have included Senators, Congressman, and national media personalities. His media trainings have served: Progressive Congress, Earthjustice, People for the American Way, The Leadership Conference for Civil and Human Rights, The New Organizing Institute, National Nurses United, Women Donors Network among others. In 2008, serving as Senior Creative Director for Media Matters for America, Silberman developed the Progressive Talent Initiative.

An award winning New York musician, performer/director and producer, Silberman comes to communications from a political actor’s perspective. He has served as Associate Artistic Director for the Cabaret and Performance Conference at the O’Neill Theater Center and is a frequent guest lecturer at the Juilliard School. His international concert appearances have included: Carnegie Recital Hall, London’s Chelsea Festival, Italy’s Spoleto Festival, and The Four Winds Festival in Australia.

Silberman serves on the board of the Netroots Foundation as the Vice Chair.
