John Alexander

John Alexander is the Associate Director of Sciences, Humanities and Art Network of Technological Initiatives (SHANTI) at the University of Virginia. SHANTI’s mission is to create a new digital ecology which will support the needs of the UVa community in research, teaching and outreach. John is active in various activities on campus supporting diversity and multiculturalism. He has facilitated dialogue groups including Faculty Sustained Dialogue and currently serves on the planning group for "Dialogues Across UVa," which forms small groups of faculty, staff and students to engage in meaningful dialogue for a full semester.
