Trained as a journalist and geologist, Ross is the author of several books and articles. Long fascinated by the intersection of natural and human history, Ross was inspired to write The Forecast for D-day…” after reading "Isaac’s Storm" by Erik Larson and "The Map that Changed the World" by Simon Winchester.
