Joseph Anthony LoGiudice is a social worker, writer, and an educator. He edited a book titled, Our Naked Lives: Essays from Gay Italian-American Men, that was published in May 2013. His professional work is in the field of disability policy and services, and how disability identity intersects with other identities. He has taught college classes in disability policy, mental illness, clinical practice, and social welfare history and policies at various universities. He is deeply invested in ensuring disability content is taught in the social work curriculum, in the classroom, and in the field. His interests and passion are in understanding and advocating for individuals who are marginalized, vulnerable, and stigmatized, particularly LGBTQ individuals with disabilities, while utilizing perspectives from disability studies and intersectionality. Joseph received a Master of Social Work degree from NYU, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Columbia University. He lives with his partner, Michael Carosone, in New York City, and loves his New York City life -- a place saturated with eccentric, witty, and interesting people.
