Debate, Forensics, Speech, and English teacher at Olathe Northwest High School in Kansas

Josh Anderson, a Debate, Forensics, and English teacher at Olathe Northwest High School in Kansas, was a rowdy and difficult student himself until he joined the debate team in high school. He fell in love with the activity and by senior year of high school, he knew he wanted to teach. After graduating from Emporia State University, he landed his first teaching job in Basehor, Kansas. In 2003, Anderson joined Olathe Northwest where he’s been ever since. Named Kansas Teacher of the Year in 2007, Anderson has been inducted into numerous educational Halls of Fame and continues to work on his doctorate while serving as a full time teacher and coach.
