Joy Adaeze is a Nigerian-American style blogger, fashion stylist and image consultant who got her start in the fashion industry by interning at WWD. There, she assisted influential editors and learned the ins and outs of styling. Soon after, Joy began assisting fashion expert Constance White (currently ESSENCE Editor-in-Chief). The two worked closely on several projects, namely fashion segments for NBC LX-NY and The Today Show. As a freelance stylist, Joy has worked for publications in Europe and the US. Aside from her styling career, one of Joy’s life passions is her work as a professional image consultant where she guides men and women on how to look great every day. Joy is also a talented writer, with her most recent work featured in the March 2012 issue of ESSENCE.

Joy is well known for her innovative personal style, and has been featured in Italian Vogue, Elle, Seventeen, NY Mag, Chinese Vogue, Ebony and ESSENCE, among others. She embodies the quintessential fashionista and enjoys inspiring others with her unique look. Two years ago, Joy started her personal style blog- joylovesfashion.com. Last year, she launched a daily style blog on essence.com, titled “Daily Style Chronicles”, which showcases her eclectic, ever changing style. Joy has been named one of the “Top 40 Style Bloggers” by Essence.com and was featured in Coco & Crème Magazine’s “5 Brilliant Stylists You Should Know”. Joy has a YouTube fashion channel where she enjoys giving style tips and creating DIYs (“Do It Yourself” custom pieces). In the future she plans on working as a style expert for television and facilitating style workshops.

Joy Adaeze lives in Harlem and is a Rutgers University graduate.
