Julia Lee is an assistant professor of English at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she teaches courses in African-American literature. A native of Los Angeles, she received her undergraduate degree from Princeton and her Ph.D from Harvard. She has published widely in African-American literature, transatlantic studies, and Victorian literature. Her book, "The American Slave Narrative and the Victorian Novel" was published by Oxford University Press in 2010. Her new book, a racial history of "The Little Rascals," is forthcoming in Fall 2015.
