K. Forrest Beanum, SVP of Government Relations and External Affairs, leads CODA’s global political and communications initiatives. Since joining CODA Holdings in 2010, Beanum created a robust communications and public affairs program operating at the local, state federal and international levels. Under his leadership, CODA successfully launched its Automotive and Energy Storage divisions, built a regulatory affairs teams, and engaged leaders to garner public support for electric vehicles and clean energy technology. Beanum has nearly 20 years of experience in public affairs and public relations ranging from private to public sectors. He was previously national press secretary and vice president of investor relations/communications at CityView for U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Henry G. Cisneros, has worked on speeches and events for former U.N. Secretary Kofi Annan, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and former President of Mexico, Vicente Fox. Beanum holds a bachelor’s in sociology with an emphasis in public policy and communications from Pomona College, a master’s fellowship degree in public policy and international affairs from the University of California, Berkeley and is a graduate of the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs in Los Angeles.
