Communications and Outreach Senior Manager, St. Anthony Foundation

Originally from Ithaca, NY, Karl has been living in San Francisco and working for St. Anthony Foundation for the last ten years. St. Anthony’s is a nonprofit organization that offers programs providing education, advocacy, and basic services to homeless and low-income adults in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. Currently, Karl is the Communications and Outreach Senior Manager for St. Anthony’s and is responsible for marketing, media, and outreach events for the organization. Prior to this position, Karl co-founded the Tenderloin Technology Lab, a technology training program for low-income residents of the Tenderloin.

In addition to his work at St. Anthony’s, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Community Technology Network in San Francisco and on the Advisory Board at the Tenderloin Boys and Girls club. When he’s not at work, you can find Karl running through Golden Gate Park, swimming in the bay, or cycling across the Golden Gate Bridge.
