Kate Maxwell

Analyst in Research and Policy, Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation

Kate Maxwell provides insight and consultative support as an analyst in Research and Policy for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Maxwell worked at Rainy Day Books in Fairway, Kan., where her responsibilities included receiving, customer service, and purchasing. She also was an administrative aid for the Saint Louis University Political Science Department.

Maxwell was a presidential scholar at Saint Louis University (SLU) and graduated summa cum laude with bachelor’s honors degrees in economics and French with a minor in political science. She also attended French University for one year, including l’Université Catholique de Lyon, L’Université Lumière de Lyon, and L’Institute de science politique de Lyon. While at SLU, she served as vice president of Foundation for Delta Gamma Fraternity, an Honors Student ambassador, a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society, and chair for SLU’s Annual Leadership Conference. She also received the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award from the honors program for her work on her senior honors thesis on the regulation of microfinance. An active volunteer, Maxwell completed over 150 hours of community service while at SLU.
