Keith Humphreys is a Professor of Psychiatry at Stanford University. His scholarly work focuses on how to improve treatments and public policies regarding addiction and mental illness. He has published in academic journals such as Lancet, JAMA and British Medical Journal, as well as in mass media outlets such as in the New York Times, American Prospect and Wall Street Journal. He has consulted extensively with public policymakers, and served as Senior Policy Advisor at the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy from 2009-2010.
