Kunal D. Patel is the Medical Director at iHeed, an organization that promotes innovation in health education and content creation for health workers in developing countries. Kunal is also the Director of mHealthEd, which iHeed convenes as the world’s only dedicated conference on the emerging field of mobile health education. In addition to working with iHeed, Kunal practices as a doctor in the field of travel and tropical medicine. He attained a PhD in Clinical Medicine in 2010 and has previously worked on HIV stigma and education projects in Thailand. He has authored several papers and articles focused on global health, medicine and the immune basis of atherosclerosis, a non-communicable disease.
