Kurt Kelly

Kelly has over 30 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur, business executive, public servant and political consultant. He has a track record of proven success, built on his reputation of being a passionate and influential persuader with lawmakers and his intimate knowledge of the needs and issues relating to foster children and the child welfare system. From 2007-2010, Kelly served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives representing the 24th District. During his time in the Legislature, Kelly was vice-chairman of the House Committee on Juvenile Justice, and also a member of the Health Care Appropriations, Education and Higher Education committees. In 2010, he was also a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to that, Kelly was chair of the Marion County School Board from 2001-2007.Prior to becoming CEO of FCC, Kurt served as a board member of Kids Central, the community-based care lead agency in Circuit 5, which includes Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion and Sumter counties.
