As EVP, Global Director of McCann Truth Central, Laura Simpson is the driving force behind McCann Worldgroup’s global intelligence unit.
Under her leadership, the Truth Central Team, represented in more than 100 countries, has analyzed attitudes about topics ranging from wellness to privacy, youth, beauty, moms, social media, politics, mobile and more.

Since relocating to New York in 2011 to start McCann Truth Central, Laura has presented the studies at major conferences like the ANA Multicultural & Diversity Conference in Miami and The Mommy Tech Summit at CES in Las Vegas and has partnered with industry organizations like Advertising Standards Canada. Most recently, she unveiled the global findings of “The Truth About Connected You” at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Before crossing the pond Laura worked as Head of Trends and Insight for McCann Erickson in London and prior to that as a global researcher for international research agency, Synovate. Laura has also worked across a number of client accounts as a research consultant in the UK and the US including L’Oréal, MasterCard and Nestlé.
