Food Studies Consultant
Laurie Freyer is a Food Studies Consultant, specializing in food culture and sustainability education and food event programming in and around NYC. She has consulted for multiple environmental organizations and had a stint as creator and owner of a carbon-free organic produce delivery service in Philadelphia. Most recently she acted as Content Specialist and Exhibit Programmer for the American Museum of Natural History's exhibit on food: Our Global Kitchen; Food, Nature, Culture. There she gained specialized expertise in the growing field of live food programming in an exhibit setting.
Laurie earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies from McGill University and has a Masters from NYU in Food Studies with a focus on sustainable food systems and food in alternative communities.
