Career Coach

Laurie Rosenfield is the founder of CAVU Advisors™ which specializes in helping senior executives re-focus their careers to meet the needs of the new economy. Drawing on experience in management, marketing, executive search, coaching, and career planning, CAVU Advisors are catalysts for executives who are ready to discover new opportunities. It's not as simple as an employer looking for that "round peg to fit into a round hole." Rather, lasting success requires a CAVU methodology that identifies core skills, aptitudes, and values that are transferable to other industries. Only then can an executive candidate successfully attract targeted groups of potential employers.

Ms. Rosenfield has, for the past six years, been a senior level executive recruiter focusing on media, technology, and telecom at several premier firms. She holds three professional coaching certifications: Personal & Executive Coaching from New York University; Master Executive Coaching from the Behavioral Coaching Institute; and Master Wellness Coaching from Real Balance Coaching. She is an active member of The International Coach Federation. Her practical approach is an inter-disciplinary one, drawing upon the best of learning theory, neuroscience, and positive psychology that promises the fulfillment of both career and personal goals.

The marriage of her search background and coaching passion resulted in her founding of CAVU -- It's a fighter pilot acronym that refers to perfect flying conditions: "Ceiling and Visibility Unlimited."

Earlier, Ms. Rosenfield was for twenty years a senior executive in program development, sales and marketing in the entertainment industry for 20th Century Fox, United Artists, CBS, and Tivo. After Dartmouth College, Ms. Rosenfield completed graduate work at the American Conservatory Theatre. She is a past Board member of STRIVE, a nonprofit workforce development organization, where she continues as an advisor. In addition, she has served on the Boards of the Sloane Hospital for Women and The Global Women's Health Fund of Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health.
