Linsey Maughan

Writer, breast cancer survivor, gender equality advocate

Linsey Maughan lives in Chicago, IL, where she works in higher education administration and teaches creative writing at the Illinois Institute of Technology. She is president of the Chicago Chapter of the US National Committee for UN Women, and is writing a memoir. Her writing has appeared in Brevity and The Huffington Post, and she is the recipient of artist's grants from the Illinois Arts Council Agency and the City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. A former newspaper reporter, she holds a BA in English from Southern Illinois University, an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Florida, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
