University of Massachusetts Amherst Senior Lecturer & author, Invisible Chains: Overcoming Coercive Control in Your Intimate Relationship

Lisa works for justice through her teaching, training, parenting, and writing. Her newest book, Invisible Chains: Overcoming Coercive Control in Your Intimate Relationship, teaches people how to change or leave a controlling relationship – and how to help others who are being victimized. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Lisa is a popular conference speaker and workshop facilitator throughout the world. She specializes in cultural issues in violence against women and children.

She also teaches college students through the University Without Walls program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her doctorate is in Counseling Psychology.
