Lisen Stromberg is CEO and Founder of AcceleratingWomen.co, a strategic consultancy empowering women and the workplace through workshops, events, and leadership coaching. AWC works with companies to ensure their policies and practices support women and men to lead their best lives.

Lisen is also an award-winning writer and independent journalist. She covers issues relevant to women, families, the workplace, and life in Silicon Valley. Her feature articles, essays, and columns have appeared in a variety of venues including The New York Times, Fortune, Newsweek, MSNBC, Salon, NPR, and more.

Lisen is currently working on a book, "Work Pause Thrive: Where the Will to Nurture Meets the Drive to Succeed" offering untold truths about work/life balance and empowering the next generation to find their own path to work/life integration.

Previously, Lisen had a successful career in marketing and business strategy working at companies such as Nestle Corporation and Foote, Cone & Belding Advertising. As Founder and President of Supporting Our Sons, she learned the thrill and challenges of being a social entrepreneur.

Beyond writing these days, Lisen applies her MBA/MFA skill set as a content, community, and marketing strategy consultant to socially responsible start-ups and non-profit organizations.

She also serves as an inspirational speaker, moderator, and panelist. She is founder and host of (S)He Talks Events.

Lisen has a B.A. from Dartmouth College, an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley, and an M.F.A. from Mills College.
