Professor, Writer, and Political Commentator

Dr. Louis Klarevas teaches Global Affairs at the University of Massachusetts – Boston. He is the author of Rampage Nation: Securing America from Mass Shootings. http://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/252353/rampage-nation-by-louis-klarevas/ A Senior Fulbright Scholar in Security Studies, he has also taught at American University, George Washington University, the City University of New York, and New York University.During the early phases of the Iraq War, he served as the Defense Analysis Research Fellow at the London School of Economics. Before joining the ranks of academia, he served as a research associate at the United States Institute of Peace. His articles and commentaries have appeared in a variety of prominent news outlets, including The Atlantic, Forbes, The New Republic, The Huffington Post, The New York Daily News, New York Newsday, The Washington Post, The Washington Times, and Vice. He has also appeared as an expert on numerous news networks, including ABC, AJE, BBC, CBS, CNN, and NPR. Dr. Klarevas holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in International Relations from the School of International Service at American University.
