Lyel is the Co-founder of Startup Box South Bronx - a unique campus offering K-12 & community education in tech, design, & entrepreneurship in the South Bronx and links low-income communities to the startup ecosystem.
Lyel is an Adjunct Professor at the NYU Stern School of Business, where he teaches a course on Social Innovation. Lyel was a Reynolds Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship and holds degrees in Physics and Political Science from MIT. He also sits on the Board of the Centre for Social Innovation NYC and the Bronx Academy for Software Engineering.
