Marcia Alesan Dawkins, Ph. D. is an award-winning author, speaker, and educator. She understands how diversity, technology and creative storytelling are changing who we are, what we like and how we talk. Known to "tweeps" as @drdawkins09, Dawkins shares her expertise with business organizations, not-for-profits and universities.

Her first book, Clearly Invisible, was released in August 2012 to rave reviews. Most notable among these is Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to the President, who remarked, "Clearly Invisible is a thought-provoking analysis... that challenges the way we view race and culture in our society." Dawkins's second book, Eminem: The Real Slim Shadyhttp://www.RealSlimShadyBook.com, was a finalist for the 2013 USA Best Book Award and was submitted for consideration for an NAACP Image Award.
