International Security Scholar, Actor, Screenwriter
Marco Reininger is an International Security scholar, actor, and screenwriter. In 2011/2012 he worked in Afghanistan, gathering and analyzing complex socio-cultural data to aid policy makers, military forces, diplomats, and NGOs. He conducted a Counterinsurgency and population-centric research project to support his studies at Columbia University. Since returning stateside, Marco completed a 7-week program at The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, is co-writing several feature films, and regularly acts on stage, film, and television. Having served in Afghanistan with the US Army, Marco is a veterans advocate, passionate about making the voice of veterans heard nationally in media, film, and print. In this capacity Marco served as a spokesperson and Legislative Fellow for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA). Marco resides in New York City, NY.
