Mariane Pearl is an award-winning writer and Managing Editor of the CHIME FOR CHANGE global journalism platform. She is a contributor to The New York Times, The Sunday Times, Conde Nast Traveler, Self and more. Mariane has served as a jury in events such as The Gucci Tribecca Fund and the Internews Human Rights Award, and is a prolific public speaker.

Mariane’s husband, Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, was murdered by a militant Islamic fundamentalist group in Pakistan in 2002. Determined not to be broken, she wrote A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Daniel Pearl. The book won international praise and was released as a feature movie starring Angelina Jolie.
