Marina Peralta is the author of Barriers to Love: Embracing a Bisexual Identity. She was born in Hermosillo, Mexico, and studied at Colegio Tepeyac in Mexico City. She attained her B.A. in psychology from SDSU, and her master's from National University. She has lived in Mexico City, San Diego, Tijuana and Los Angeles. She is a well-regarded psychotherapist, having practiced for over 20 years, specializing in family counseling and abused children. For 20 years Marina also owned two successful dance schools, where she taught her passion for dancing.
