Marissa Wallace is a freelance writer based in Los Angeles. She enjoys covering human interest stories and delving into what exactly it is that connects us all. Her area of interests include fashion, lifestyle and arts and culture .

Marissa is achieving a growing voice in the music journalism field, especially within the hip hop community and culture. She has extensively covered concerts, reviewed albums and landed interviews with some of hip hop's up and coming stars and veterans including Mobb Deep, Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q.

Currently she is on staff at Yoo-N-LA magazine, a local Los Angeles based print and digital publication where she covers community arts events. She is also on staff at TheWellVersed.com, an online site with a fresh take on the ongoings of the urban community. Marissa was also on the award winning Daily Sundial summer staff where she tackled stories that affected the California State University, Northridge campus, its students and the surrounding communities.
