Mark has been the chair of the Santa Monica Task Force on the Environment for over 20 years. Also, he is Associate Director of the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. Mark was the long time President of Heal the Bay, an environmental group dedicated to making Southern California coastal waters and watersheds safe, healthy and clean. He has worked extensively over the last 25 years in the fields of coastal protection, water pollution and urban sustainability.
