Certified Housing Counselor
Mary Ellen Nicol is a certified housing counselor for CredAbility, a national nonprofit credit counseling and education organization based in Atlanta. She counsels homeowners about their mortgage and financial issues. She maintains certification through the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and South Carolina Department of Community Affairs. Nicol joined CredAbility in 2007.
Ms. Nicol has more than 20 years of experience as a high school math teacher, real estate agent and real estate appraiser. She continues to tutor college-bound high school students in mathematics. Nicol is a graduate of Furman University.
