Matthew Proman

Founder and CEO, National Association of Professional Women (NAPW)

Matthew Proman, 37, is the Founder and CEO of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW). Established by Proman in 2007, NAPW is now the largest and most powerful network of female executives, professionals and entrepreneurs in the United States.

Proman recognized there was a tremendous need for a national networking platform for professional women. In NAPW, he has created a unique forum where members connect with other like-minded professional women to develop innovative business and social relationships.

NAPW now has more than 471,000 members and nearly 400 Local Chapters nationwide.
NAPW offers members exclusive resources and benefits necessary to foster professional and personal success through online and in-person networking, marketing and educational tools, mentorship programs and member discounts.

An avid philanthropist, Proman generously contributes to a broad array of charitable organizations. He sits on the board of the Jack Martin Fund at Mt. Sinai Hospital’s Pediatric Oncology Unit in New York City. He tirelessly volunteers his time and has, to date, raised millions of dollars -- and much awareness -- for the important work this foundation does. Proman is also a volunteer Director for the Nassau County SPCA.

Proman’s philanthropic work is not just personal. It carries through into his professional life, as well. Under his direction, NAPW supports and endorses a diverse syndicate of charities and nonprofit organizations focused on women's issues and child wellness, including the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women Campaign, the American Cancer Society, and the NAPW Rising Star’s Scholarship Program.
