Matthew Cooperberg earned a BA (English) at Dartmouth College and MD and MPH (Health Policy) degrees from Yale University. He completed Urology and Urologic Oncology training at the University of California, San Francisco, and stayed on to join the faculty after fellowship. His clinical and research interests focus on prostate cancer; he has written extensively on this topic, with areas of interest including risk stratification, comparative effectiveness, health services research, quality of life, biomarker validation, and quality of care.
